Deliver a photo shoot to your client

The wedding was on Saturday, and on Monday morning the couple asks for the photos. You have 600 edited images, somewhere between 5 and 12 GB of full-resolution JPEGs, plus the RAW files if a second shooter worked the day. What you do not want is to explain how to make an account, what a shared folder is, or why the link asks for a password nobody sent. You are delivering a wedding, not teaching a tool. The guide on how to deliver wedding photos to clients covers the choices in detail; this page is about the routine.

Transferify gives you one link. The client opens it in the browser they already have, on a phone or a laptop, presses download and gets the files. Nobody registers, nobody installs anything, and only you confirm your email address.

The delivery, step by step

  1. Export the selection and drop the folder onto the Transferify page.
  2. Choose how long the link stays open and, if you want, a password for the download (from Basic).
  3. Put your name, a short note, your logo and your colour on the download page (the logo and colour are included on every plan).
  4. Press send, and if you are not signed in yet, confirm your email address with a one-time code. There is no password to choose.
  5. Send the link by message or email, and the client downloads straight from the browser.

The step that is missing is the one that costs you time today: you no longer wait for someone to make an account before they can see the photos, and you no longer explain an interface to anyone.

What the client sees when they open the link

The download page shows the list of files and a button to download everything. Your name and a one-line note above the list are free on every plan. A branded page goes further: your logo and an accent colour you pick, on the download page and in the delivery email, plus a font and an animated look built from your own images on the page itself.

That branding reaches you in two ways, and the difference matters if your work is seasonal. It is included on every plan, so you can brand every transfer at no extra cost, the big weddings included, and Plus also takes Transferify branding off the page your client opens. Premium adds branding for the whole account: your logo and colours appear on every delivery without choosing them each time, and you get a branded link address such as yourname.transferify.eu. That address comes only with Premium and cannot be bought for a single transfer.

Password, expiry and download alerts

From the Basic plan you can ask for a password for the download, set a download limit and get an email when a download starts. The email tells you that the delivery is being collected and when, not who is collecting it, and the product never claims more than that.

You choose the expiry yourself, within your plan. The free plan keeps a link open for 1–3 days, Basic for up to 7 days, Plus for up to 30 days, and Premium for up to 30 days or never. A wedding usually needs a couple of weeks, so that the family can download on three devices without anyone calling you, and from Plus a link that has already gone out can be extended while it is still open.

The season: when downloads run out first

In a busy season you deliver one shoot after another, and the limit that bites first is not the size but the number of downloads. The free plan includes 50 downloads in a calendar month, across all your transfers. Each file fetched on its own counts as one download, and downloading everything at once counts once. A couple who download the whole set on a phone, then again on a laptop, and forward the link to an aunt, use three. Basic raises the limit to 100 downloads a month, Plus to 300 and Premium to 1,000. The number of transfers you send is not capped on any plan, but transfers that are still live share one storage allowance.

The current price of each plan, and the saving on yearly billing, are on the pricing page, which reads them from the same catalogue the product enforces.

When the shoot is bigger than a hosted link

For a whole season's archive, or for raw files going to another photographer who is at their desk, use Instant peer-to-peer: the files stream straight between the two browsers, end-to-end encrypted, and are never stored on our servers. Instant is free up to 5 GB on the free plan, and any paid plan unlocks any size. The condition is that you both keep the tab open until it finishes. How it works is on the peer-to-peer page.

Hosted files are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before upload and stay encrypted at rest. With Zero-Knowledge mode, on the Premium plan, the key stays only in your link, so we cannot read the photos either. The price of that is honest: a lost link is a lost delivery, because we have no way to open the files for you.

If you also shoot property, delivery to agents and portals has its own rhythm, covered on the page for property photos and video tours. The rest of the mechanics are on how to send large files and the features page.

Frequently asked questions

Does my client need an account to download the photos?

No. Whoever has the link opens it in the browser they already use, on a phone or a laptop, and downloads. Nobody signs up and nobody installs anything. Only you, the sender, confirm your email address, with a one-time code.

Can I put my logo on the download page?

Yes. Your name and a short note are free on every plan. Your logo, your colour, a font and an animated look built from your own photos are included on every plan, for every transfer you send. Premium puts your logo and colours on every delivery without choosing them each time.

How long does the link stay open?

You choose, within your plan. 1–3 days on the free plan, up to 7 days on Basic, up to 30 days on Plus, and on Premium up to 30 days or never.

How many photos can I send at once?

A hosted transfer holds up to 50 GB on Basic, 100 GB on Plus and 1 TB on Premium, and the free plan sets its size per transfer rather than as a monthly budget. Instant peer-to-peer is free up to 5 GB on the free plan, and any paid plan unlocks any size, as long as your tab stays open until it finishes.

Can I ask for a password before the photos download?

Yes, from the Basic plan. From there you can also cap how many times the transfer can be downloaded and get an email when a download of your files starts.
